Monarch Butterfly
Monarch butterflies are first an egg on the underside of a milkweed leaf and then it will turn into a beautiful monarch butterfly. Most butterflies have six legs, but monarch butterflies have four legs. Most butterflies fly to other country in the world where it is nice, clean and warm. monarch butterflies don't like winter because it is to strong for there wings to flap very well. Monarch butterflies can fly a long distance away. Like from New Zealand to Austalia that will a long distance away. Both Male and female monarch butterflies have beautiful orange wing, with black stripes and white spots. Monarch butterflies and catterpillars don't have lungs like we do. Tucked against it's thorax is a pair of very short legs, used for cleaning the eyes and antennae. Monarch butterflies starve to death because there is not enough food for everyother butterfly. Monarch butterflies eat swan plants and milkweed. The monarch butterflies is the colourful hrald of warm summer days. Nectar-filled flowersand swan plants will attact this beautiful butterfly to the home garden to feed, and to continue it's life cycle.
